A safer way to wear a winter coat in a car seat
***NO winter coat at all is the safest option. Your child can wear a thin fleece jacket which or car seat poncho, which are very warm alternatives. But for the millions of parents who are going to keep a winter coat on their child anyway, this is a safer way to put them in their car seat.

The North Face: Men's Pumori Jacket
www.altrec.com The North Face: Men's Pumori Jacket - A great do-it-all fleece piece for any outdoor activity, the Men's Pumori Jacket from The North Face features midweight Polartec® 200 Series fleece, making it ideal as a middle layer for skiing and as an outer layer for summer camping....Read More...If we had to make a list of indispensable items for year-round outdoor adventures, this Men's Pumori Jacket from The North Face would rank near the top. Some fleece is too thick for summer backpacking, other fleece is too thin for anything except middle layering, but the Pumori is just right with midweight Polartec® 200 Series fleece. You can wear it as a middle layer in the winter (it is zip-in compatible and zips into other jackets made by The North Face--just remember to pick the same size) or wear it as outerwear on camping trips. The one thing that the Pumori Jacket doesn't have is the nylon reinforcement panels along the shoulders like the slightly heavier Denali Jackets by The North Face. That means that if you backpack or climb extensively with a pack, you may notice some pilling and wear along abrasion points beneath the straps. Midweight warmth Polartec® 200 Series fleece Nylon reinforcement panel along the collar helps reduce pilling Standard (not relaxed) fit layers well beneath shells (and is zip-in compatible with some jackets made by The North Face) Two zippered hand pockets Comfortable elastic bound cuffs hold sleeves in place Hem cinchcord at waist to help ...

Stargirl || Justin Bieber one-shot 1/4 || {description}
Based on the book "Stargirl" by Jerry Spinelli I own no publicly recognisable character(s), like Justin Bieber or anyone else. I do, however, own any characters that I have created as my own. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - A heavy sigh emmited the boy's pink lips, as he plunged his frozen hands into the warm depths of his winter coat pockets. He was only steps away from his destination: Stratford Secondary, one of the - very few - highschools in Canada's small town of Stratford. "Justin," a husky male's voice called out to him "hey bro!" Justin looked up to see the face of his best friend Ryan Butler, with his arms held out, ready to embrace Justin in a friendly 'man-hug'. "Hey man! How you been?" The boy replied, accepting his friends' embrace with a toothy smile. "I've been good, you? Have you seen the new girl? Damn." "I've been good, also," he smiled graciously "Nope." Justin replied, popping the 'p'. "Man! She is a nutjob!" At that moment, Justin didn't know how important this girl would be to him. The proximity of the situation seemed so miniscule in his mind, 'it was just another freaky new girl' he thought, but this girl was going to change his life before he could say 'love'. They walked into the glass doors, and into the vast building that would become their shelter for the coming six hours, only to find that the normally dull and dejected students were all gathered as one on each ...

EXERCISES FOR ALL SEASONS: Jailhouse Tai Chi Form
"Jailhouse" Tai Chi Chuan Form, thick winter garments, front view - 02/24/09 (Winter) Doing my compact "Jailhouse" version of Prof. Cheng Manching's 37 Posture Tai Chi Chuan Form youtube.com youtube.com youtube.com outdoors, during very cold weather, in thick winter garments, helps me experience the Form in new ways. There's a big difference between doing the Tai Chi form with very few clothes on (like a T-shirt, shorts, and a thin pair of flexible sneakers during warm weather, when my body can move easily) www.youtube.com and doing each posture while every part of my body is wrapped in several layers of outdoor winter clothing. The thick gloves on my hands immobilize all my fingers. I can't even roll my fingers into a loose fist, because the puffy material of the glove is too thick. I feel like I'm wearing professional boxing gloves, where the whole hand has to move as one unit. Freedom of rotation in the wrist areas is restricted by Velcro bands on my winter coat sleeves, and the gloves, which keep my wrists and forearms basically immobilized, almost like wearing splints on both wrists. My elbows can barely bend, because of the thick padding of the winter coat. My shoulders can barely move, because of the multiple layers of clothing beneath my coat. My head can barely turn to one side or another because a hat and ear muffs are wrapped around my head; they press against the high collar of my winter coat and hold my neck immobile, as if I'm wearing a neck brace. The ...

EXERCISES FOR ALL SEASONS: Raise Hands Chi Kung
Raise Hands 9x, blizzard, frozen lake, right side view - 02/10/10 When I'm walking in the park during a blizzard, I'm wearing my thick, heavy winter boots, which keep my feet warm even in temperatures 35 degrees below zero. By the time I get to this part of the park, I have already been walking for about a half an hour, in snow that's 12 inches deep! Just taking several steps in snow this deep is strenuous work. To lift the heavy boot out of the snow, and take a step forward, I have to overcome the resistance of several inches of snow, and my heavy boot! www.youtube.com By the time I've walked for a half an hour through this much snow, I'm sweating like crazy! I'm hot as hell inside my winter coat! When I stand still for a while and do some of my stationary, deep-breathing routines, like this "Raise Hands 9x" set, I'm venting, relaxing, letting some of my body heat come out. I take a bit of a break. I know I still have to do another half hour of slogging through deep snow to get back home. Walking for an hour in 12 inches of snow, in thick, heavy boots is some of the most strenuous physical activity I've ever experienced! When I get home and take off my outer layers, my inside layers are all drenched with sweat! It's a great total body experience! I'm looking forward to walking in deep snow again this winter, whenever lots of snow comes down. ChiGuy396 ChiGuy396@yahoo.com **

Polar Bear TaG!
These pictures show how close one man came to being a polar bear's dinner. The target, a surveyor, was returning to his car in the remote town of Barrow, Alaska, when he saw the great white beast. With no time to unlock the door of his vehicle and climb inside, he tried to duck out of sight. But the hungry bear was not giving up, and a terrifying chase began. First, the beast stood up on its furry haunches and eyed its prey. Then it loped around the car, and even climbed over the bonnet to try to reach him. After a few laps of the car the bear almost caught up, managing to land a few heavy swipes on his prey. The man eventually managed to take refuge in a neighbouring truck which was unlocked. His back and head were covered in more than 100 deep scratches where the massive claws had managed to rip through his thick winter clothes and padded coat. Barrow is the northernmost town of the United States, 340 miles north of the Arctic Circle.

Webtogs guide to Waterproof Jackets
www.webtogs.co.uk In this guide from outdoor gear retailer webtogs.co.uk, resident gear expert Gareth describes the different types of waterproof jackets on the market and helps users decide which jacket is right for their chosen activity. What are you going to be doing? If you are walking regularly and take it seriously, it's worth getting something you will feel comfortable in and with the ability to let that sweat out. This is particularly critical as wet clothing is a bad insulator and you can't trap any warm air with potentially serious implications when you are out on the hill. All the waterproof jackets we have here at Webtogs are breathable and to varying degrees let sweat out. We would recommend though that you think carefully about what you need, jackets can be expensive, and if you are taking a gentle walk once a year with friends in the countryside, you may not need a top of the range jacket. Consider a jacket that does not have such a breathable fabric but that is wind, and waterproof. If most of your activity is outside the UK in a place without much rain, it might also be worth considering something which is not completely waterproof but is very breathable. Likewise if you are doing something very aerobic or carrying heavy loads, having a fabric that is breathable / windproof more than one that is waterproof may be more important. If you are going to be climbing, you need to ensure that your jacket is short enough to allow a harness over it and has enough ...

Mark Lex Eros - Sabaton - Coat of Arms [English & Greek Subtitles] Remastered
Mark Lex Eros - Sabaton - Coat of Arms [English and Greek Subtitles] Remastered About Sabaton: Is a Grammis-nominated power metal band from Falun, Sweden formed in 1999. The band's main lyrical themes are those of historical wars. This is heard in albums Primo Victoria and Attero Dominatus where all of the songs, except final tracks, take inspiration from historical battles or war, such as the song "Back in Control" which refers to the Falklands War. Lyrical content drawn from World War II and World War I is prevalent and includes songs about battles and leaders on all sides of the conflict; resistance movements in occupied Poland and Norway, the Battle of Berlin and Winter War in Finland. As of later albums, the band has started to incorporate elements of progressive metal. Coat Of Arms: A song about the Greco-Italian War during WWII and the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC The Lyrics: That dawn, envoy arrives Morning of October 28th No day, proven by deed Descendence of Sparta, Athens and Crete! Look north, ready to fight Enemies charge from the hills To arms, facing? defeat There's no surrender, there's no retreat Time after time, force their enemies back to the line Call to Arms banners fly in the wind, For the glory of Hellas Coat of Arms reading freedom or death, Blood of king Leonidas Air raid, pounding the land Bombers are flying both day and night Endure, six days of rain Dropped by invaders, bomb raid in vain Strike hard, the tables have turned, Drive them back ...

The Incredible Human Journey Episode 2 Asia (BBC)
Please Subscribe To The WhyEvolutionIsTrue Youtube Channel. www.youtube.com BBC Documentary List: tinyurl.com The Incredible Human Journey Episode List: tinyurl.com Broadcast (2010) There are seven billion humans on earth, spread across the whole planet. Scientific evidence suggests that most of us can trace our origins to one tiny group of people who left Africa around 70000 years ago. In this five-part series, Dr Alice Roberts follows the archaeological and genetic footprints of our ancient ancestors to find out how their journeys transformed our species into the humans we are today, and how Homo sapiens came to dominate the planet. In this programme, the journey continues into Asia, the world's greatest land mass, in a quest to discover how early hunter-gatherers managed to survive in one of the most inhospitable places on earth - the Arctic region of Northern Siberia. Alice meets the nomadic Evenki people, whose lives are dictated by reindeer, both wild and domesticated, and discovers that the survival techniques of this very ancient people have been passed down through generations. Alice also explores what may have occurred during human migration to produce Chinese physical characteristics, and considers a controversial claim about Chinese evolution: that the Chinese do not share the same African ancestry as other peoples.

Hebrewism 101
Traditional Bedouin colours for woven goods are deep red, black, indigo, green, orange and mustard, as well as natural tones of the animal's coat. Music by Ramiyah Most Bedouins are Israel and don't even know it.... This is an ancient Bedouin tribal weaving artform, which in its broadest linguistic identity is rhythmically linked to poetry, memory, the weaving practice, the extension of the hand, and the graceful moving pace of a camel. Weaving conveys the Bedouin's rich heritage and instinctive awareness of natural beauty, with patterns and designs messaging the nomadic lifestyle, the desert environment, and the emphasis of symmetry and balance due to the making process. Nothing is written down or recorded. Due to widespread illiteracy of Bedouin nomadic tribespeople, all motifs, patterns and associated symbolism are memorised and passed from generation to generation, by word of mouth and example. The Bedouin people wove many practical items by hand, using sheep's wool and goat and camel hair. Bedouin weaving served many purposes in the nomadic environment: items included bedding-bags, rugs, saddle-bags, food containers and room dividers for the tents. The preparation for weaving takes at least two months and the tasks of washing the wool or hair, carding, spinning, dyeing and setting up the loom were traditionally shared between husband and wife; the actual weaving, however, is always done by the woman. WEAVING AND TENT MATERIAL The Bedouin's home is his tent, which is ...

Entry from: Hoi An, Vietnam Entry Title: "Charming Hoi An" Entry: "Hoi An was an easy four-hour bus ride from Hue. It was a little funny though. We were told the bus would pick us up at our guesthouse, which was great news because it meant we didn't have to carry our packs to a bus station. The downfall was that we were among the first passengers to be picked up so it took an hour to round up the rest. Then, just as I thought we were finally heading out of town, the bus pulled into a gas station, where they made us unload our luggage and transfer to another bus. Not sure what that was all about. Maybe it had a fuller tank than the bus we were on. Anyway, Hoi An was great. I really liked it. The older part of town is so quaint. During the 16th through 19th centuries, Hoi An was an important Vietnamese trading port. This international sphere of influence led to an interesting blend of indigenous, French, and Japanese architecture. But whatever the style, it feels historic. Walking the streets and narrow alleyways, one feels almost transported in time. And the best part of it is, in order to enhance Hoi An's antique charm, they restrict motorized vehicles from the historic area during certain times (there wasn't much consistency so we couldn't quite figure out what their schedule was). And those hours ...

Weather Control 6 (Secretly 8 ;)): Snow Storm for Africa
This was my first time working with a blizzard and I feared the snow would be nigh like quicksilver to my mind; yet while it took over a minute for the blizzard to thin, the storm intensified immediately after I took off my coat so that I might bare my soul to it. Everyone, please read MATTHEW Ch. 21 v. 18-22! Merry Christmas to my Nigerian 'Prince'! :) With the wind chill, the air temperature was -5 degrees Celcius.

"L is for Lima, T is for Tango" Indianajill's photos around Lima, Peru (chami chorrillos lima)
Preview of Indianajill's blog at TravelPod. Read the full blog here: www.travelpod.com This blog preview was made by TravelPod using the TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow creator. Entry from: Lima, Peru Entry Title: "L is for Lima, T is for Tango" Entry: "Well I guess the Tango is really for Argentina, but Lima is a city of contrasts. Lima is known as the City of Kings, but it is also the city of handsome men in the ¨Latin Lover¨mold, beautiful women with long dark hair, all wearing jeans and high heel boots. There is much squalor here, but the new mayor has been on a campaign to clean up the city and is succeeding very well. There is an increased police presence, new roads are being built, the streets are being cleaned up, and buildings repainted. After all the of scary things we had read on blogs about the crime and pick pockets in Lima it was a relief to see that this had changed. The Main Square in Lima is a delightful colonial style plaza with Spanish Neo Classical buildings in shades of cream, pink and butternut yellow. Gustav Eiffel had visited and worked here and his influence is easily seen in the main area of Lima, if has a very Parisian feel to it. This afternoon we joined a group of Canadians and one American to go on a tour of Lima. Our first stop was to the Park of Lovers, a pretty park located on the Pacific Ocean. A walkway of mosaic wall tiles created a beautiful frame for views of the Pacific Ocean. A large statue of 2 lovers in an intimate embrace creates ...

The Incredible Human Journey : Asia (BBC)
